Jordan Sawyer

Jordan Sawyer has been the Director of Bands at Indian Ridge Middle School since 2022. Under his direction, the band program has blossomed and grown in size and has become recognized as a premier program in Broward County. Indian Ridge Jaguar Band students have made it into the Florida All State Band, Broward All County Band, Seven Star Honor Band, and have participated in Excellent and Superior rated performances at the Broward County Solo & Ensemble Festival. 

Mr. Sawyer is a Flautist and Trombone player, currently playing trombone with the Broward Symphonic Band which gives regular concerts throughout the year at Bailey Hall on the Broward College Campus. 

Mr. Sawyer is an alumnus of Florida Atlantic University and has affiliations with the Mu Beta chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, honorary fraternity for college bandmembers, the Broward Music Educators Association, the Broward County Band Directors association, the Florida Bandmasters Association, the Florida Music Educators Association, and the FMEA Emerging Leaders organization.  He is active in the band community of Broward County, offering his expertise to local middle and high school directors and programs regularly.
